Funding opportunities for schools and young people

Looking to support your music provision in 26/27? There are a range of funding opportunities that could help. A little time spent on a funding bid can make a big difference — and we’re happy to support you with writing it if needed.

Support for schools:

  • UMUK Sound Foundation – The Foundation has helped over 10,000 schools, individual students and teachers improve their access to music through the purchase or upgrade of musical instruments and equipment.
  • Music for All | Music Charity in the UK | Music Funding & Grants – Established 30 years ago, Music for All has a track record in providing support. Over the past five years alone we have awarded over £450,000 in cash grants, donated instruments and equipment to hundreds of individuals, community groups and educational establishments.
  • Home – BlueSpark Foundation – BlueSpark provides funding for instruments, tuition and performance opportunities. These projects help to nurture musical, singing and dancing talent and give young people the chance to develop their skills while working together with other young people.

Support for individuals in your school:

  • Changing Key Dorset – The Richard Ely Bursary Scheme provides one-off payments, or, in appropriate circumstances, ongoing funding, to meet the cost support to access music-making for individuals.
  • About — JTYAF – The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation supports young people from a wide range of youth organisations in Dorset and Wiltshire, providing them with scholarships and bursaries to support their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions.
