Join other beginner musicians as you explore making music together in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment.
Our Elastic Band is designed specifically for new learners and offers a welcoming space where beginner musicians can explore sounds, play instruments, and create their own compositions. Alongside this, participants will learn to follow simple notation and graphic scores through creative and accessible approaches to music-making, ensuring everyone can take part successfully.
Every musician will have a part tailored to their individual experience and ability, helping them develop skills and confidence at their own pace. Enjoy a relaxed and social environment focused on teamwork, musical games, and building the confidence to perform alongside other like-minded young musicians.
There is no pressure to perform. Simply come along, have fun, make music with others, and discover the joy of playing in an ensemble, all with the support of our experienced music leader.
Elastic Band costs £30 per term (8 sessions), with financial support available for children in receipt of Pupil Premium or Targeted Free School Meals.
Our first Elastic Band will launch in Blandford after the October half-term break.
