In this session we will explore how approaches to musical behaviour and creative play can support Language & Communication in early years provision.

In this session we will:

  • Offer practical ideas for you to use
  • Share some of the theories that explain how being musical supports Language and Communication development
  • Learn how to incorporate a range of typical early years resources and children’s books as a starting point for music making, songwriting and the freedom to imagine, perform and improvise
  • How to use music to have even more fun in your setting, to learn about your children and enable children’s voice

This training is for anyone interested in early years music and will support the practice of:

  • EY practitioners/EYFS teachers
  • Music teachers, Music practitioners, Music leads
  • Childminders
  • Students
